What started as a small BMW event for some enthusiasts, grew into a well-known brand. BimmerFest had its first edition in 2013, at an airport in Venlo. In 2016, the airport’s destination plan changed, which forced the event to look for another, suiting event venue.
After quite a search, the possibilities at Evenementenhal Gorinchem met with the wishes BimmerFest had at that time. The attending companies and visitors really appreciated combination of the indoor halls en the outdoor area. Moving to this new venue again lead to an increase in the visitor numbers (amongst other influences). This wasn’t only visible in the amount of participants and visitors, but also in the attending companies. Creating the possibility to participate indoors was a strong move!
Meanwhile, the seventh BimmerFest edition has been placed on many event calendars. A fact that we as an organization are very proud of.

BimmerFest demo project: BMW E30 turbo
In order to give BimmerFest a promotional boost in the early stages of the event, the idea of a BimmerFest project car was born. A, then, stock BMW E30 was found and underwent the necessary changes.
The original motor was replaced for a M50B25 engine (E36), with a Holset HX35 turbo and the chassis and exhaust system were completely renewed and improved. Of course, since BimmerFest needed to be visible, the E30 got a complete BimmerFest livery. Like any other project car, this project will also never be completely finished, which means there are a few more changes coming up. The entire body needs a new paint job and the brakes and interior are in need of an update as well.
